Towne Park is Now Serving the Manhattan Beach Marriott Hotel

On Sunday, November 21st, Towne Park officially took over the valet parking and self parking operations at the Manhattan Beach Marriott.  We are very excited to add this marquis account to our central California region.  We now serve around 15 accounts in central California and over 80 Marriott branded locations nationwide.

About the Manhattan Beach Marriott Hotel and Golf Club

Located in the upscale South Bay area, the Manhattan Beach Marriott sits on 26 beautifully landscaped acres three miles south of LAX and minutes from southern California's premier beaches.  The hotel is within walking distance to area businesses, restaurants and shopping, and has a nine-hole golf course.  The hotel features 373 rooms and 25,000 s.f. of meeting space.

After hours of competing today in the valet relay, luggage load, car slalom and key jumble, Annapolis and Philadelphia were tied.  In an overtime key jumble rematch, Annapolis edged out Philadelphia to win the Mid-Atlantic Regional Valet Olympics.  The Annapolis Team will represent the Mid-Atlantic Region in Towne Park's National Valet Olympics which will take place in February 2011 in Fort Lauderdale.  The winner of Towne Park's National Valet Olympics will represent Towne Park at the National Valet Parking Association's Valet Olympics in March 2011, also in Fort Lauderdale and Towne Park will be the host. 

Today, the Annapolis team hosted Towne Park's Mid-Atlantic Regional Olympics at Park Place Annapolis.  Teams from Philadelphia, Baltimore, Annapolis, Washington DC and Denver (because of an operational reporting relationship) competiting for the chance to represent their region at Towne Park's national valet Olympics in February 2011.  The winner of Towne Park's national valet Olympics will represent Towne Park at the National Valet Parking Association's Valet Olympics in March 2011.

This is the best of the best in the valet business.  The competitors are looking forward to showcasing their skills, and I am excited to watch them perform.  It will be a great day for Towne Park and the rest of the valet parking community.  It’s noteworthy to have this in Annapolis, as this is where it all began for Towne Park.

It was an exciting time at Towne Park when we added the Opryland Resort.  It was a game changer for us.  It was our first real resort with a challenging physical plant, three entrances, 5,000 plus parking spaces, and millions of guests annually to serve.  Today is no different.  We are just as excited to reopen the resort and to welcome guests to the Gaylord Opryland Resort again.

As this property is Gaylord Entertainment’s crown jewel, it is also Towne Park’s most recognized location.  As we work to grow our company, Towne Park constantly points to the Opryland Resort to demonstrate our qualifications, skills and abilities to our prospective clients nationwide.

The Gaylord Opryland Resort, a Towne Park client, suffered serious damage during the May flood forcing it to close and renovate.  Towne Park has been patiently waiting for its reopening to welcome guests and visitors again.  The resort will officially reopen on Monday, November 15th.
