Today, Towne Park officially announced the acquisition of greater Los Angeles parking management company, Quality Parking Service, Inc. This move brings Towne Park’s west coast presence to over 110 accounts and 1,300 plus associates. The acquisition included considerable event services and commercial parking management accounts.
Quality Parking has established a strong presence and rapport in the greater Los Angeles area with an impressive customer portfolio which complements Towne Park’s. Their extensive commercial parking expertise further balances the combined market presence. With similar cultures, talented and tenured associates, service centralism, and leveraging of best practices, the combined companies will create a stronger base in the Los Angeles market and the entire west coast.
Towne Park’s Founder and current CEO, Jerry B. South, shared this about the Quality Parking Service acquisition:
The addition of Quality Parking to our portfolio of accounts in the greater Los Angeles area gives Towne Park the market position to fuel organic growth in one of the top three cities in the country. In addition to the impressive client list within the Quality portfolio, we could not be more excited about the new teammates who now join the Towne Park family! The talent, alignment and energy of the Quality Parking management team made this acquisition a “no brainer” for Towne Park. Quality Parking founder Ben Akbary has done a magnificent job of developing deep relationships with the Los Angeles business community. Couple that foundation with Towne Park’s support structure and available resources and we will double our collective market share in less than three years, while providing growth and career opportunities for all Towne Park associates.
This is Towne Holdings’ fourth acquisition in five years. Other acquisitions have included Dallas-based MEDiPark Valet Services, Inc. (2005), Mile Hi Valet Service, Inc. of Denver, CO (2008) and, most recently, Overland Park, KS-based Avascend Healthcare Hospitality (2009), launching Towne Park into the healthcare vertical. As a result of the four acquisitions, Towne Park now operates in over 50 markets in 34 states nationwide and serves over 400 accounts including hotels and resorts, healthcare facilities, casinos, and numerous restaurants, residences, entertainment venues, mixed-used complexes, and other locations. Towne Park employs over 6,500 associates nationwide.
As privately held enterprises, Towne Park and Towne Holdings do not disclose financial information about acquisitions or other business matters.

On Tuesday, June 21, Towne Park volunteers provided and served dinner to the “clients” of The Lighthouse Shelter, a local Annapolis facility that provides emergency shelter, transitional housing, a resource and support center, and homeless day shelter. Volunteers included: Rebecca Rothschild, Matt Cahill, Rick Sorrells, Rita Hinkel, Kristen Zick, Tricia Wetzel, Sarah Altman, Ruth Levin, Jill Farschman, and Cindy Wetzel.
Kathleen Lalor, Tracey Tinker and Casey Walker helped plan and organize the event, which everyone agreed was a success. It was a great evening filled with great food and great people! The menu consisted of lasagna, bread, salad and fruit for dessert and clients of The Lighthouse Shelter came up for extra helpings.
During the month of May, a Change for Charity jar was placed at the front desk, and a total of $169 was collected. The money raised was used to purchase the food served at the shelter, so thank you to all who donated. Matt has graciously pledged to match this amount.

Following are some volunteer testimonials about the event:
“It was very heartwarming to help those people in need at the shelter. They are very kind and thankful people. I had a great time serving dinner to them and it was definitely an uplifting experience! I would also like to add that one of the clients said that we were the most professional looking group that he’s ever seen in that kitchen! We definitely Made It Matter!”
– Tricia Wetzel, Administrative Assistant
“This was my first experience volunteering at a homeless shelter, I didn’t know what to expect or what I would take from the event. I must say, the simplest acts my fellow coworkers and I performed were clearly appreciated by everyone at The Lighthouse Shelter! There was a young man that continually thanked Matt Cahill and the rest of the “front line” servers for the delicious lasagna that, in his book was “12 stars”. Just to see the smiling faces on some of the clients was gratitude enough for me to definitely return to the Lighthouse Shelter in the near future!”
-Sarah Altman, Benefits Administrator
“Meeting the residents of The Lighthouse Shelter and serving them a nourishing dinner was such a valuable experience for me. I was moved by the fellowship with the residents and cherished the opportunity to engage in a small act of kindness with my Towne Park colleagues. I am proud to work for a company with genuine caring for the communities where we serve.”
- Jill Farschman, Director of Development and Communications
“The Lighthouse Shelter has great new facilities and wonderfully appreciative residents who were a pleasure to serve. This was a super experience that I highly recommend to all.”
-Rick Sorrells, Executive Vice President of Administration
Towne Park has commenced valet parking and other services at St. Anthony Hospital in Denver. We are providing valet parking at three entrances, concierge, information desk services, procedure waiting lounge registration, and wheelchair escort and patient discharge services. Towne Park now serves over 10 healthcare facilities in Colorado and over 100 nationwide. In Colorado, we also serve The Childrens Hospital, Swedish Medical Center, and Rose Medical Center, just to name a few.
St. Anthony Hospital is one of Denver's oldest and most progressive hospitals. The hospital was opened more than 100 years ago as a result of the determination of the Sisters of St. Francis who pioneered the development of health care institutions in the western United States. Today, that pioneering spirit is alive at St. Anthony Hospital. St. Anthony Hospital just relocated to a new facility in Lakewood, CO.
Today, Towne Park commenced valet parking, bell attendant and shuttle transportation services at the Kingsgate Marriott Conference Center at the University of Cincinnati. This is Towne Park's second hotel customer in Cincinnati. We also serve the Hyatt Regency Cincinnati.
Towne Park's District Manager Scott Goins, who also oversees Towne Park's operations in Louisville, had this to share about his district's newest hotel customer:
"With great excitement we welcome newest customer of the Louisville/Cincinnati District, the Kingsgate Marriott Cincinnati. It is a beautiful 206-room hotel surrounded by the University of Cincinnati and its hospital system and the Kingsgate Conference Center attached to the hotel. I’m confident in saying it is one of the finest meeting facilities in all of Cincinnati. With this new account, Towne Park now has two hotels in the Cincinnati market. I believe this market will explode for our company over the next few years. What’s amazing is just six months ago Towne Park had no hotel presence in the city and now we are serving two. Imagine what the Queen City of Cincinnati will look like for Towne Park in a couple of years. I envision well groomed, professional, aggressive hospitality focused valets all over the city that will have one thing in common; they will all work for the largest valet parking company in the world!"

Joe Steiskal, Assistant General Manager, stated:
"We felt Towne Park would be a great fit for our property because we are both rooted in service. Towne Park has been receptive since our initial conversation on how we can create a better guest experience. Everyone is committed to improving our overall satisfaction and to have a partner that is pulling in the same direction can only help our operation."
