Each year, every Towne Park district designates a Most Valuable Player who has performed above and beyond that of their peers. Each District MVP goes onto the regional level and one outstanding performer is titled the region's MVP of the Year. The prized Company MVP title is revered and envied by all and few are worthy of such a distinction. The 2010 Towne Park Company MVP crown was bestowed upon Joe Caputo, Account Manager of the Anaheim Marriott, in February during a company-wide Webinar. In January, Towne Park hosted Leadership Summits in five regions. Each region nominated teams for their region's Team of the Year award based on criteria from financial performance, to service scores, to number customer promoters. Each regional winner was eligible for the coveted company Team of the Year Award. The 2010 Team of the Year for Towne Park was announced during a recent company-wide Webinar and Central California, led by District Manager Bobby Kuhns, was the overall winner.

Hospitality industry veteran Bill Driscoll has joined Towne Park as a Director of National Accounts. Driscoll has over 30 years of lodging industry experience, most recently as the Senior Vice President of Business Development for Crescent Hotels and Resorts. Driscoll has also held executive and senior leadership roles with other hotel operating and development companies such as Merritt Hospitality, InterState Hotels and Resorts, MeriStar Hospitality, and CapStar Hotels.

During the National Valet Parking Association's Annual Meeting this week in Fort Lauderdale, the association will be hosting the National Valet Olympics. The competition will feature teams from member firms, including Towne Park, vying for the coveted titles and enviable bragging rights including the prized Herb Citrin Trophy (named after the association's honory member, Herb Citrin). The best individual valet will win a two year lease from Volkswagen, an event sponsor.
Tonight, althetes will compete in the first event, the Key Jumble. The competition will continue tomorrow, March 3rd, with four more events including the Valet Relay, Individual Maneuvering, Slalom, and Luggle Load Relay. The best in the valet parking business will be announced and celebrated during an awards dinner tomorrow evening. All of the events are being hosted at The Westin Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale, a Towne Park client.

Regional teams from around the country descended upon the beaches of Ft. Lauderdale on February 17th for the final round of Towne Park's Olympic team qualifier. Blood, sweat, automobile paint, and tears were all shed as the competitors gave their all to represent their respective region. So, who's the best at Towne Park?
Towne Park's 2011 Valet Olympics are from the East Coast! Team Annihilators, as they call themselves, from Orlando include Justin Pillow, Ian Haven, Christian Padilla, and Arturo Rodriquez. So, who will will go on to compete in the National Valet Parking Association's National Valet Olympics against competing member firms? The best of the best at Towne Park who include: Nate Laughern, Edgar Islas, Jonathan Kissell, Matt Cardella, and Arturo Rodriquez. The NVPA National Valet Olympics will take place on March 2nd and 3rd at The Westin Beach Resort in Ft. Lauderdale, a Towne Park client.

Today, Towne Park's National Valet Olympics commenced at The Westin Beach Resort and Spa in Fort Lauderdale. Five regional championship teams will be competing in numerous events today and tomorrow at the Westin to capture the coveted Towne Park national title. The Towne Park National Champion will go on to compete and represent Towne Park at the National Valet Parking Association's Valet Olympics in March. The Towne Park team will compete with eight NVPA member teams on March 2nd and 3rd in Fort Lauderdale, also at The Westin Beach Resort and Spa, during the NPVA's Annual Meeting.
Since October 2010, Towne Park teams across the country have competed at the district level and then at the regional level. It's down to five teams representing the Upper Mid-West, Mid-West, Mid-Atlantic, Central, and West regions. Events include a Key Jumble, Valet Realy, Individual Maneuvering, Slalom and Luggage Load. The national Towne Park team will also compete in these events at the NVPA Valet Olympics.
So, who's the top valet team at Towne Park? And, who's the number one Towne Park valet parker? We will post the results following tomorrow's finals.

Towne Park now serves four casinos in Blackhawk including Ameristar Casino, Canyon Casino, Riviera Casino, and now, Isle of Capri. Today, Towne Park officially announced the appointment of Eric Vasterling to Vice President of Operations. Mr. Vasterling brings over 25 years of parking management knowledge. He has 10 plus years of senior leadership experience providing healthcare parking solutions and services serving as the Chief Operating Officer of HealthCare Parking Systems. His primary focus will be to elevate Towne Park’s healthcare parking and services capabilities and to support Towne Park’s healthcare growth initiatives.
