Manager of Talent Operations Dianne Fonte Wins the 2010 Bob Valentine HR Award
This Award Honors the Memory of Bob Valentine and His Contributions to Towne Park
In addition to other awards, the 2010 Bob Valentine HR Award was announced during a recent company-wide Webinar. After careful consideration of the nominees, one stood out from the rest. Jerry South and Dave Nichols were glad to announce that Dianne Fonte had won this honorable award.
The Bob Valentine HR Award is awarded to a human resources professional who values people and their development. They influence our people driven culture and they model our culture to their constituents.
Dianne Fonte joined the Towne Park Talent Operations Team in January 2010 after assisting with the transition of Avascend operations to Towne Park. Dianne's markets had unique challenges:
- At the beginning, all of the District Managers were from the Avascend acquisition
- With the exception of three hotels, all Account Managers also came from the Avascend acquisition
- No one had completed an internal certification program or succession planning
Dianne implemented a training program, got our certification program off the ground, and implemented a succession planning process. Dianne continues to bring best practices from other markets and to institutionalize development in her districts.
