Along with other Towne Park vendors, PSA Financial is a title sponsor of Bogeys & Birds 2010. PSA Financial is the Pro Shop sponsor, the official sponsor of the golfer hospitality bag and gifts given to golfers. Bogeys and Birds 2010 is a golf tournament fundraiser benefitting The Check Foundation and the many charities, organizations, and individuals it supports. The Check Foundation was formed in 2004 by Jerry B. South and others to serve the communities in which Towne Park associates work and live.
Bogeys and Birds 2010 will take place on Thursday, September 2nd at Queenstown Harbor Golf Links in Queenstown, MD. The tournament is now officially sold out! Part of the proceeds will benefit the Valentine Memorial Scholarship Fund, a scholarship program for eligible Towne Park associates. The Valentine Memorial Scholarship was created by The Check Foundation and Towne Park to honor the memory of Robert James Valentine, a Towne Park colleague and friend. Annually, The Check Foundation will award one student – a Towne Park associate or immediate family member - a $10,000 college tuition scholarship. Based on eligibility, The Check Foundation will continue to provide financial support during the recipient’s two- or four-year undergraduate program. During their college tenure, a student could receive up to $40,000 in tuition assistance from the Valentine Memorial Scholarship Fund. By 2012, The Check Foundation and Towne Park hope to be supporting four students.
