Towne Park Observes Earth Day by Planting Trees with DNR and Local Boy Scouts

Towne Park Participates in the Department of Natural Resources' Marylanders Planting Trees Program

For over 40 years, Earth Day - April 22 - has inspired and mobilized individuals and organizations worldwide to demonstrate their commitment to environmental protection and sustainability.¹   In observance of Earth Day, Towne Park's Home Office participated in the Maryland Department of Resources' Treemendous program, part of the DNR's Marylanders Plant Trees program, this past Saturday, April 9th by assisting local Boy Scouts with planting trees at Broadneck Park in Arnold, MD.

Towne Park Home Office and Annapolis volunteers included: Brian Irvin, Frank Maguire, Charles Wright, Kyle Chappelle, Jerry South, Michael Beckerman, Mike Gable, Kristen Zick, Suzanne Reese, and Michelle Riley with her husband and brother.  It was a damp, muddy day of fun! Special thanks to all of our volunteers for getting up early and giving up part of your Saturday to volunteer in our community!

Next Saturday, April 16th, we will help the ARC of the Chesapeake with GreenScape Annapolis, a City and community partnership investment of beautification, clean-up, and planting in public spaces throughout the City of Annapolis.
