Less than a year removed from his promotion to Area Manager in Central California, Sam Islas has been promoted once again – this time to District Manager of Southern California!  In his new position, Sam will be directly responsible for the district’s performance in financial, guest satisfaction, client satisfaction and business development objectives.

“Sam has done a great job for us throughout all of his assignments and has shown an enthusiasm to grow his career through never turning down an opportunity, even when it’s meant moving to a new city and district.  As someone so invested in our success, we are excited to have Sam lead the way in Southern California,” said Jeff Johnson, Vice President of Operations – West Coast.

As Area Manager in Central California, Sam improved his area’s year over year revenue numbers, with the same vehicle counts!  Additionally, the parking department at three of his hotels (Mondrian, Luxe City Center and Montage Beverly Hills) is #1 in their respective locations’ service score rankings.

This promotion is a return to Southern California for Sam.  Prior to being Area Manager in Central California, he was the Area Manager responsible for our Palm Springs and Palm Desert properties.  In all, Sam has a dozen years’ experience in the hospitality industry as both a manager and valet with Towne Park and Mile Hi Valet Service spending time in Southern California, Arizona and the Palm Desert area.

“Becoming District Manager in Southern California is the culmination of taking on challenges and volunteering for new opportunities.  I moved several times for Towne Park, and while it was tough moving around, it was worth it for the experiences, knowledge and professional growth I gained as a result.”

Sam enjoys spending his time exercising, being outdoors and playing sports – particularly football and golf – as well as spending time with his wife and daughter.
