22 Apr Happy Earth Day from Towne Park!
Towne Park Associates Volunteer for GreenScape Annapolis
Today, Friday, April 22nd, is Earth Day! It has inspired and mobilized individuals and organizations worldwide to demonstrate their commitment to environmental protection and sustainability. In observance of Earth Day, Towne Park’s Corporate Headquarters volunteers rallied once again to volunteer this past Saturday, April 16th to assist the ARC of the Chesapeake with GreenScape Annapolis. Towne Park volunteers, along with ARC board members and other volunteers, helped to beautify the ARC by weeding, planting pansies, and planting some vegetables.

Volunteers included: Jackie Harris-Harrell, Connie Christy and her fiancé, Cindy Wetzel, Will Car and his girlfriend, and Vicki Fox and her mother
Thank you for volunteering!
About Earth Day
The first Earth Day, on April 22, 1970, activated 20 million Americans from all walks of life and is widely credited with launching the modern environmental movement. The passage of the landmark Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act and many other groundbreaking environmental laws soon followed. Growing out of the first Earth Day, Earth Day Network (EDN) works with over 22,000 partners in 192 countries to broaden diversify and mobilize the environmental movement. More than 1 billion people now participate in Earth Day activities each year, making it the largest civic observance in the world.
