05 Feb Jerry South Honored at SmartCEO Future 50 Award Ceremony

Jerry South accepting his Future 50 Blue Chip award
On January 23, 2014, more than 500 local executives joined SmartCEO in celebrating Baltimore’s fastest-growing companies at the Baltimore SmartCEO Future 50 Awards ceremony held at the Hunt Valley Inn.
Can you guess if Towne Park received a Future 50 award? Of course Towne Park was recognized, taking home the Blue Chip Award! With a basketball theme – appropriate with NBA Commissioner David Stern retiring this month – Towne Park Founder & CEO Jerry South dished and swished his way through the crowd like a vintage Magic Johnson to accept his award. You can find photos of Jerry, along with all of the other well-deserving recipients, here.
The Future 50 winners are chosen based on a three-year average of employee and revenue growth. The 2014 Baltimore Future 50 winners collectively generated $2.3 billion in annual revenue, experienced a 34.8% average three-year revenue growth and employed 14,045 individuals.
