15 October 2013 Mathew Torrez Promoted to District Manager of Central California
Longtime Southern California District Manager, Mathew Torrez is moving up the Pacific Coast to assume the position of District Manager in Central California!
This promotion is a return to his professional and personal home for Mat, as he grew up and began his hospitality career in Central California with Mile Hi Valet Service in 2001. With Mile Hi and Towne Park, he managed several high-profile hotels in the area including LAX Marriott, Anaheim Marriott and Renaissance Hollywood before becoming Southern California’s second District Manager in 2009.
“I am thrilled to be back in Central California, as this is where I experienced the most professional growth of my career,” Mat said. Coming back to the region now as a District Manager, I hope to offer our local associates the same level of mentorship I received. I look forward to this challenge!”
Long time Towne Park associates are well aware of the impact Mat has had on our Southern California portfolio. With Mat overseeing the district, SoCal has grown from eight to 13 clients and Client GOP has practically tripled. Additionally, the district average of service scores improved to 93.5%.
“Southern California has seen unprecedented growth under Mat’s leadership,” said Matt Cahill, Executive Vice President of Operations, West Coast. “Nevertheless, we are excited for Mat to take on this new opportunity to manage one of Towne Park’s largest districts in the country and continue Central California’s rapid client growth and improving financial returns.”
Mat has already moved to Los Angeles with his wife and his two year old son . When he’s not delivering service excellence, he is scuba diving, skiing and spending time near the ocean with his friends and family.
