06 October 2016 Towne Health Associate Spotlight-Ronnie Ackles
Roni Ackles is making a difference at St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, California. Because she understands that a trip to the hospital isn’t always a happy or planned event, she welcomes all those that she encounters with care and compassion. Roni understands the
significance her role plays in creating a positive arrival experience for patients and visitors to the facility.
As a Lead Lobby Greeter for the past four years, Roni has been warmly greeting and providing information to those who enter St. Jude Medical Center. Because of the excellent care that she provides, St. Jude recently acknowledged her work. Within the hospital, there is a wall where the staff is recognized; Roni was recently added to that wall with a sign that reads:
Roni is consistently recognized for how she takes time with each patient and visitor and makes them feel special and welcome. She greets return visitors by name and is always willing to take time with others by doing whatever is necessary to make their visit to our hospital more comfortable. Roni sets the stage for us in providing Sacred Encounters to all our patients and visitors from the moment they first walk into St. Jude Medical Center.
Yet her hard work doesn’t stop with her patients. As a result of her great understanding of the Lobby Greeter position, she has played an integral role in creating and launching Greeter programs throughout Southern California.
It’s the people at Towne Health that make a difference. Thank you, Roni, for Advancing the Patient Experience ™ at St. Jude Medical Center.
