13 January 2014 Valet Parking and Self-Parking Management at UTSW-Dallas, Leading Medical & Research Institution
Towne Health’s newest client, Dallas’ The University of Texas at Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW), has kept a whole lot of people a whole lot of busy during the holiday season last month!
In September of last year, Towne Health was selected out of 14 vendors vying for the opportunity to oversee UTSW’s vast valet parking and self-parking operations. “We were chosen for a number of reasons,” according to Kirk Pozadzides, SVP of Towne Health. “We instilled confidence, we demonstrated our ability to advance the patient experience, we are capable of meeting all their special events needs, we have a strong presence with over 450 employees in-market – and we conveyed all that with a drop-dead proposal.”
UTSW is Towne Health’s third healthcare client in the Dallas market and a certain anchor for future growth. The site employs over 120 associates at seven valet entrances and four self-parking cashier locations.
Towne Health’s role is incredibly important to the successful day-to-day functioning of this world-class medical institution. We will park over 550,000 vehicles annually, including a single entrance that averages over 1,000 cars a day. We will collect millions of dollars in annual revenue, all while smoothly handling all logistics of this major parking operation through world-class and patient-centered services – all aimed at Advancing the Patient Experience.TM
Towne Park veteran Tim Kongs will be assuming the role of Area Manager at UT Southwestern. Tim has been growing his career with Towne Park since 2005, beginning with casino operations in Kansas City. Over the years, Tim has experienced immeasurable exposure to challenging, large volume operations, of which will prove invaluable managing at UTSW.
