Towne Park Has Another Strong Showing at The 2013 Valet Olympics

Last month, you watched the highlight video of our highly competitive Valet Olympics competition, chronicling the performances of five Towne Park associates who ultimately achieved a spot on our 2013 NPA National Valet Olympics team.  With the Olympics taking place in Chicago last week, how did Towne Park’s fab five fare?  Keep reading on to find out!

This year’s Towne Park Olympic team equaled the success of last year’s, once again snagging the title of Best Dressed Company in the Industry and taking home 2nd place in the Overall Team Competition.  In the Individual Competition, Edgar Islas, Account Manager at the Anaheim Marriott, came in 3rd place, marking 2013 as the third straight year he’s been named one of the top three of top valets in the entire country.

Coached by Orlando District Manager Dashan Sanders, this year’s team was comprised of faces new and old:

Adam Martinez, South Florida Area Manager and a Valet Relay judge, believes this year’s team to be as focused as any he’s ever seen.  “Our team came to Chicago motivated and on a mission to bring the Herb Citrin Trophy back to Annapolis. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out but their competitive spirit was palpable throughout the competition and I’m very proud of the way our guys represented Towne Park Nation at the Olympics.  We’ve had a lot of great Olympians in the past, and these five guys will definitely be added to the pantheon of the greats!”

A big Towne Park thank you to Valet Olympics Judge Adam Martinez, Coach Dashan Sanders and Organizer Brooks Ellis, as well as the Towne Park leaders on hand to support the team: Vice President of Operations Steffan Sonneveldt, Nashville District Manager John Utz, Vice President of Towne Health Leanne Gent and Vice President of Talent Jeremy Tolley.  Lastly, we’d like to thank the Valet Olympians from Curbside Hospitality, who cheered Towne Park on, and vice versa, at the event.  After Towne Park’s acquisition of select Curbside Hospitality assets, we will be teammates going forward, guaranteeing we’ll be more formidable than ever next year!
